DONALD L. CAMPBELLSTAUNTON, VA…  Donald Lee “Donnie” Campbell, 80, husband of Joyce ‘Joy” (Baber) Campbell, of Staunton, died Monday, September 5, 2016, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born September 24, 1935 in Augusta County a son of the late Glenn Berry Campbell and Reba Mae (Link) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Regensburg, Germany for 2 years.  Prior to retirement, he was employed by Southern Electric Corporation with 40 years of service. Following retirement, he was employed by Blue Ridge Appraisal Company. In addition to his wife of 54 years, family members include a son, Gregory Link Campbell. He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Edward Campbell. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016, in Pleasant View Evangelical Lutheran Church,  2733 Springhill Road, Staunton, by the Rev. Mark Briehl and Rev. Bobby Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Erskine, Roger “Pete” Woods, Steve Doyle, Michael Swortzel, Fred Bowers, and John Bowers. Following the service a reception for family and friends will be held in the Church social hall. Per Mr. Campbell’s request, he was cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
