DONALD V. EARLY STAUNTON, VA…             Donald VanLear Early, 81, husband of Delcie (Benson) Early, of 223 Ann Street, Staunton, died Friday, March 23, 2018, in Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville.             He was born November 1, 1936 in Rockingham County, a son of the late Ward O. and Rebecca (Saufley) Early.             Mr. Early was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Korean Conflict.             He was employed by Smith’s Transfer with 25 years of service.             He previously worked at Reid’s Store and Triple-H Property Services.             He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, and friend to a lot of people and will be missed sorely by many.             In addition to his wife of 57 years, family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roderick and Ronda Early of Staunton and Christopher and Petra Early of Germany; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Allan Mayz; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Maggie Early; a sister, Gail Sykes; six grandchildren, Kara and husband Caleb Paccadolmi, Travis Mayz and fiancé, Eleonore Dupal, Aimee Gajus and fiancé, Tommy Nance, Ashley Stevens, Brianna and Husband, Kristofer Clegg, and Jennifer Early of Germany; three great grandchildren, Starlyn Gajus, Willow Stevens, and Madelyn Paccadolmi; and many nieces and nephews, including a special great nephew, Landon Joines.             He was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Early and a brother-in-law, Archie Sykes.             A special heartfelt thank you to his son-in-law, Allan. He went above and beyond his duties as a son-in-law.             A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Harold W. "Pete" Campbell.              The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home.             Memorials may be made to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, P. O. Box 937, Verona, VA 24482 and to the American Cancer Society, 1445 E. Rio Road, Suite 104, Charlottesville, VA 22901.             Special thank you to Dr. Kerry Alexander and staff at Staunton Medical Associates for their extra special care for Donald.
