Dorothy Geneva Weeks

DOROTHY T. WEEKS   VERONA, VA… Dorothy Geneva (Tobin) Lee Weeks, 98, widow of Willard Weeks of Verona, died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at her daughter’s  residence. She was born May 9, 1919, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Russell J. and Elizabeth (Miller) Tobin. Prior to retirement, she was employed by DuPont. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Davis. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Vicky L. and David “Bo” Carroll of Verona; a son, Vernon Albert Lee of Scottsville; a step-daughter, Eloise Gill of Waynesboro; a foster granddaughter, Angela Freeman of Altavista; grandchildren, Taysha C. Simmons (Nathan), Jennifer McNeal (Jared), Gwen M. Carroll, all of Augusta County, and Aaron D. Carroll (Joni) of Montana; six great grandchildren, Heather Miles (Jacob), Rachel Cancino (Leo),  Sarah Simmons, Grace, Tessa, and Sam McNeal; four great, great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and three foster grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017, in White Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home. A special thanks to her caregivers, Judy Smith, Esther Lonas, and to Hospice of the Shenandoah.
