DOROTHY Y. CRAIG STAUNTON, VA Dorothy Catherine (Yeago) Craig, 88, wife of the late C. Clayton Craig of Staunton died October 10, 2014, in King's Daughters' Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born September 3, 1926 in Middlebrook, a daughter of the late Robert Sylvester and Edna Viola (Berry) Yeago. Mrs. Craig was a graduate of Middlebrook High School and the former Dunsmore Business College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Adult Bible Class; attended the Staunton Church of the Brethren Senior Adults meetings; was a member of AARP Staunton Chapter 1650; and a charter member of P. Buckley Moss Society. She had completed all of the P. Buckley Moss cross stitched needlework patterns. She was employed in 1950 by the former Augusta National Bank and retired in 1975 with 25 years of service from First and Merchants Bank, now Bank of America. In addition to her husband, who she married on August 22, 1953, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret (Yeago) Palmer and a brother, Robert S. Yeago Jr. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Sue Ann (Craig) and Daniel Howard "Danny" McAllister; a granddaughter, Megan Marie McAllister; two nephews, David S. Yeago and Michael S. Palmer; and two nieces, Sylvia P. Coffey and Ann Y. Miller. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel the Rev. Dr. Richard S. Dietrich. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Mackay, Ronnie McAllister, David Sorrels, Roger Knott, Junior Knott, and James Reid. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult Bible Class of First Presbyterian Church and the Staunton C. O. B. Senior Adults. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the funeral home.
