Dorothy Blanche Makely

STAUNTON, VA Mrs. Dorothy Blanche (Asper) Makely, 78, of Swoope, died Friday, October 10, 2014 in King's Daughters Community Health and Rehab with her family by her side. She was born on May 27, 1936 in Perry County, PA, the daughter of Orville and Claira (McNaughton) Asper. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Makely was a Psychiatric Aid at Western State Hospital. Her family members include two sons, Daniel Makely and Neal Makely, and his wife, Emily; a daughter, Rosemarie Hendrick and her husband, Mike; four grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Seth and Jenni; and close family friends, Rick and Loretta, whom she thought of as her children. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014, in the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 at the home of Rosemarie Hendrick, 879 N. Mountain Road, Swoope, VA 24479.
