He was born on March 27, 1965 in Fort Belvoir to Harold Leroy and Mary Frances (Ingram) Dawson.
Douglas was a self-employed floor technician. He was a member of the Staunton Church of God and was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed sports, spending time outdoors, and music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by five brothers, Terry Dawson, Rick Dawson, Jack Dawson, Eddy Dawson, and Steve Ingram.
