Edmonia Louise Calloway

EDMONIA J. CALLOWAY STAUNTON, VA Edmonia Louise (Johnson) Calloway, 74, wife of Louis A. Calloway, Sr., of 101 Caroline Street, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Augusta Health. She was born in 1939 to the late Allen W., Sr. and Jaddie (Franklin) Johnson. Mrs. Calloway retired from Dupont and Western State Hospital. She had also worked at Wendy's. In addition to her husband, family members include four sons, Louis Calloway, Jr. and wife, Crystal, Dariek Calloway and wife, Tinera, Eariek Calloway, and Quincy Calloway, all of Staunton; a daughter, Tammy Calloway of Staunton; three brothers, Allen W. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Mary, Lynwood B. Johnson, and Vance Johnson, all of Staunton; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie Morman and Sophie Taylor. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Samuel J. Anderson and Jim Bell. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, P.O.
