Edwin Lee Botkin

FISHERSVILLE, VA Edwin Lee Botkin, 60, husband of Peggy (Thompson) Botkin, of Staunton, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Shenandoah House. He was born on November 19, 1954 in Bath County, the son of the late Harry Thomas, Sr. and Wavalene (Deel) Botkin. In addition to his wife, surviving family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Christina Botkin; a granddaughter, Ashley, all of Churchville; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Boyd Helmick of Verona; two nieces, Sharon Helmick of Verona and Morgan Thompson of Fishersville; a nephew, Devon Thompson; and a great nephew, Juan Michael Aguirre, both of Fishersville. He is preceded in death by a brother, Harry T. "Tooter" Botkin. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2015 at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Rev. Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Thompson, Devon Thompson, Tim Dixon, Ronnie Dixon, and Dale Pritchett. Following the graveside service, the family would like to invite friends to join them for fellowship and a meal at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren, 36 Crimora Mine Road, Crimora, VA.
