Elaine Mayfield (Hays) Cash

ELAINE H. CASH  VESUVIUS, VA… Elaine Mayfield (Hays) Cash, 90, widow of Ray Cash, of Vesuvius, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born December 16, 1926 in Vesuvius, a daughter of the late George and Gracie (Hite) Hays. She was a member of Vesuvius Baptist Church. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and James Fitzgerald of Vesuvius; a brother, Elwood Hays of Verona; a grandson, Ethan Fitzgerald of Vesuvius; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Lewis and Kenneth Hays and three sisters, Pauline Ramsey, Clara Knight, and Mary Cook. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Don Cash. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Vesuvius Baptist Church, P.O. Box 575, Vesuvius, VA 24483.
