ELIZABETH R. LILLEY STAUNTON, VA Elizabeth Irene (Libby (Roby) Hevener Lilley, 87, widow of Don Howard Lilley, Sr., died Sunday, May 8, 2011 in Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born March 13, 1924, in Staunton a daughter of the late Irvin Leo and Cecil Pearl (Bryant) Roby. Prior to retirement in 1986, Mrs. Lilley was employed by Woodrow Wilson Rehab Center with 13 years of service. She was a member of Parkway Wesleyan Church. In addition to her second husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Lee Hevener, Sr.; a daughter, Carolyn Kaye Hevener Perry; two brothers, Irvine Watson Roby and Harry Donley Roby; a sister, Ann Macklyn Roby Fisher; and two grandchildren, Timothy Wayne Hevener and Elizabeth Anna Hevener. Family members include five sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil Lee Chuck, Jr., of Harrisonburg, Larry Clinton and Sandy Hevener, Gary Wayne and Brenda Hevener, Douglas Burton and Dana Hevener, and Ronald Brent and Jennifer Hevener, all of Staunton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and C. T. Mawyer of Waynesboro and Ada Anne and Pete Campbell of Staunton; twenty grandchildren; and thirty-five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Dot Clayton and Libby Roby; one step-son, Don Howard Lilley, Jr. of Stuarts Draft; two nieces, Toni Roby and Susan Losh; two nephews, Donald Roby and Kyter Roby; a number of cousins; and her sister of the heart, Lillian Wheeler. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday (May 12, 2011) in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Harold W. Pete Campbell, assisted by the Rev. Barry Lawson. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her sons and her son-in-law, C. T. Mawyer. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening in the funeral home and other times at the home of Doug and Dana Hevener.
