ELIZABETH T. SMITH STAUNTON, VA Elizabeth Carnelia (Troxell) Masincupp Smith, 98, widow of John E. Smith, of 54 Imperial Drive, died Friday, June 20,2 014, at Royal Care Assisted Living. She was born February 8, 1916, in Fairfield, a daughter of the late William and Gold (Brubeck) Troxell. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Smith was employed by Genesco. She was a member of the Staunton Seventh Day Adventist Church. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Masincupp Hevener 0and Curtis Hevener of Churchville; a sister-in-law, Hilda Troxell; two grandchildren, Daryl W. Hevener and wife, Tammy Sue and Cathy A. Wright and husband, Paul J.; four great grandchildren, Erica Hevener, Brent Hevener, Jessica Wright, and Alexander Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in Augusta Memorial Park by the Pastor Dan Darrikhuma. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Memorials may be made to the S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24402 or to Staunton Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1000 North Coalter Street, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
