Ellen Frances Back

FISHSERSVILLE, VA Ellen Frances (Botkin) Zimmerman Back, 70, wife of Marvin Elwood Back of Smoky Row Road, Staunton, died Friday, August 28, 2015 in Augusta Health. She was born on April 9, 1945 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late James Walter and Emma Frances (Simmons) Botkin. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Back was a Charge Aide at Western State Hospital. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James Allen Zimmerman of Staunton; a daughter, Tammy Zimmerman of Greenville, and her fiancé Darrell Fitzgerald; two step sons, Richard Back and Gary Back and his wife, Tina, both of Staunton; one grandchild, Kaitlyn Fitzgerald; three step grandchildren, Ashley Back, Jason Back and Trish Ingram; five step great grandchildren; and a sister, Lucy Turner of Staunton. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Rev. Grant Simmons.
