Ellen Cameron (Bell) Brown Gray

ELLEN B. GRAY  Ellen Cameron (Bell) Brown Gray, 97, widow of John S. Gray, of Staunton, went to be with her heavenly Father, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Augusta Health. She was born October 8, 1920 in Goshen, a daughter of the late Addison and Ellen Gold Cameron Bell. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Genesco as a child care provider.   Ellen was a member of Verona United Methodist Church. Her love of the Lord was the drive of her life. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Brown and a brother, Joe X. Bell. Family members include two sons and a daughter-in-law, John F. “Jack” Brown and wife, Donna; Charles A. “Chad” Brown; and a daughter, Adena Brown Lightner and husband, Bob; three grandchildren, Brandi L. Johnson and husband, Greg, Alex Lightner, and Becky Scott and husband, Jake; four great grandchildren, Landon, Trent, Shane, and Cameron; and a niece, Muriel Bell Pearson. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 in Verona United Methodist Church by the Revs. Bob Weeks and Jeff Allen. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Bob Shuler, Winston Jackson, Ron Jennings, Fritz Horisk, Benny Crawn, Bob Evers, Dave Alexander, and Dan Fernez. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Open Door Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home.
