Ellen Virginia Morris

ELLEN V. MORRIS FISHERSVILLE, VA Ellen Virginia (Frazier) Morris, 79, widow of Edward Lee Morris, of 83 Crossroads Lane, and formerly of Grottoes, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born January 7, 1935, Greene County, one of five children of the late William Witz Austin and Julia (Rolston) Frazier. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Morris was employed as a nurse's aide with Newman's Home for Adults in Grottoes with 35 years of service. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved flowers, birds, bingo, gospel music, and dedicated her life to loving her family and her church family. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Morris. Family members include three daughters and one son-in-law, Mary and Jay Allen of Staunton, B.J. Claytor of Stuarts Draft, and Rose Davis of Stuarts Draft; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Morris of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Adam Switzer, Vanessa Wells, and Samantha Morris; five great grandchildren, Courtney, Joseph, Drendon, Jaleya, and Samiera; a number of nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Sarah Glenn and Elsie Jones. There will be a private service celebrating her life. Memorials may be made to the Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 1221 Buffalo Gap Highway, Churchville, VA 24421.
