EMMA D. GEORGANZIS STAUNTON, VA Emma Louise (Deihr) Georganzis, 92, widow of Nickolas Paul Georganzis, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at King's Daughters' Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born August 23, 1919, in Scottsville, VA a daughter of the late Lewis Dallas and Mary (Bryant) Deihr. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Georganzis was employed by Kroger. Family members include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul L. and Janet Georganzis, George N. Georganzis, and Phillip Georganzis; three daughters and a son-in-law, Connie Caywood, Olga and Danny Sandy, and Angela Georganzis; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose family was her heart and soul. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012, in Linden Heights Baptist Church by the Rev. Luke Smith. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Phillip Georganzis, Danny Sandy, Tony Caywood, Lewis Georganzis, Nick Georganzis, John Baker, Brad Bahle, and Rob Walters. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home.
