STAUNTON, VA… Eudora Carpenter, 86, of Staunton, died Sunday, September 11, 2016, at King’s Daughters Community Health. She was born September 12, 1929, in Kinderhook, a daughter of the late Bennie and Pearl Carpenter. Eudora dedicated her life to serving others. She was well known for her years of service at King’s Daughters Hospital and the Valley Mission. Family members include two sisters, Virginia Neal and Mary Mitchell of Washington, D.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews; and Jane, Ann and Frederick H. Walsh III. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Savoy, Cleveland and Franklin Carpenter. The Walsh family would like to thank Eudora for the love and care she provided to them over the last 58 years. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Michael Turner. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Henry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Valley Mission, 1513 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
