EVELYN S. THOMAS STAUNTON, VA Evelyn Robena "Beanie" (Stockdale) Thomas, 94, widow of William Daniel Thomas, of Staunton, VA, died Friday, February 06, 2015, at King's Daughter's Rehab Center. She was born October 19, 1920, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Guy B. and Sadie (Howdyshell) Stockdale. She was a member of Westview United Methodist Church. She was a retiree of J. C. Penney with 50 years of service. She was also a member of AARP and a former member of Golden Goofers. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. "Joe" and Robin Thomas of Staunton; two daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Thomas and Jim Cook of Roanoke and E. Irene "Rennie" Thomas of Staunton; three grandchildren, Michelle D. and Mark Harvey of Williamsburg, VA, Eric A. and Donna Thomas and Sara T. and Jason Mullikin of San Antonio, TX; and a step-grandson, Christopher S. and Jessica Botkin; and two great grandchildren, A.J. and Cora E. Harvey. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Eugene Meek. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dr. John Ocheltree, Jr., Christopher Meek, Steve and Isaac Varner, Christopher Botkin, and Mark Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Thomas and Ray Meek. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015 in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Augusta Regional S.P.C.A., P.O.
