FISHERSVILLE, VA… Everett Leon Hostetter, 73, of 116 Montrose Drive, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Augusta Health. He was born September 21, 1942, in Goshen, VA, a son of the late Clarence E. Hostetter and Viola Hostetter Hall. Mr. Hostetter was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Prior to retirement, he was a welder for the Lofton Corporation formerly Wayne Manufacturing. Everett loved being around his family. He loved camping and the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and woodcutting.  He could tinker and fix anything.  He was an avid race fan and loved trains. He was a member of Fishersville United Methodist Church.  Family members include a son, Jason Everett Hostetter of Fishersville; a daughter, Tammy Puffenbarger and husband, James of Lexington; four grandchildren, Erin M. Puffenbarger, Dustin J. Puffenbarger, Michael C. Turner, and Ashley M. Turner; two great grandchildren, Olivia and Isaac; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan H. and Jim Clinedinst of Hagerstown, MD and Jerlene H. and Ted Showalter of Verona; his former wife, Judy Hostetter; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Hostetter Presley; a sister, Joyce H. Jolly; and his step-father, Orie F. Hall. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Charles Bates and Ryan Oswald.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Goshen. There will be no formal visitation.
