Earl G. Flower

Earl Griffith Flower, 94, passed away March 6, 2021 at The Legacy of North Augusta.

Mr. Flower was born July 14, 1926 in Johnstown, PA, a son of the late Earl and Ernest Griffith Flower.

He served in the U.S. Army during World Wat II, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and retired from Columbia Gas after 36 years of service. He was an Elder in the Second Presbyterian Church and active in several Christian organizations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Frederick Carlton (Fritz) Flower.

Surviving is his very best friend, Jean DuWell Flower, his wife of 71 years. Also, two sons David Flower and wife Deborah of Cleveland, TN, and James Flower and wife Diane of Verona, two grandsons Jason Flower and wife Erica of Verona and Joshua Flower and wife Kimberly of Verona, three great-grandchildren Rosalee Flower, Declan Price and Nova Flower.

Burial services will be private at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Legacy Hospice, 14 Old Oaks Lane, Suite 101, Fishersville, VA 22939.
