Weyers Cave - Earl Clarence Shifflett, Jr., 88, widower of Shirley (Allen) Shifflett, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Shenandoah Nursing Home. Mr. Shifflett was born on March 15, 1934 in Virginia to the late Earl C., Sr. and Grace M. Shifflett. He retired as a route driver for Shenandoah Pride Dairy. Mr. Shifflett was a member of Verona United Methodist Church. He volunteered at the Verona Food Bank. He is survived by two sons, Earl C. Shifflett, III and Douglas C. Shifflett; three daughters, Sandra S. Hooper, Shelby S. Stevens, Janet S. Salotti; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Gregory E. Shifflett; two brothers, Randolph F. “Punch” Shifflett and Kenneth W. Shifflett; and a sister, Evelyn Barnes. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bob Weeks. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
