SWOOPE, VA… Elizabeth Lavenia (Wommack) Small, 95, widow of Surry Parker Small, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016, at her daughter’s residence. She was born May 25, 1921, in South Norfolk, a daughter of the late Ott Tenneyson and Sallie Elizabeth (Foster) Wommack. Family members include a daughter, Diane Small Rogers; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie Cummings of Chesapeake and Louise Arnold of Louisa; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sari Jean Small Jackson. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, VA.  Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local chapter of either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
