Eugene H. Cowgill, 75, husband of Rachel Cowgill, of Barboursville, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 in Charlottesville.
He was born July 11, 1944, in Flint Hill a son of the late Major and Ida Grey Cowgill.
In addition to his wife, family members include, Mike and Terri Cowgill of Waynesboro; Tammy Cowgill and Keith of Stuarts Draft; Eugene “Snuffy” and Melinda Cowgill of Lousia, Victoria Cowgill and Vinceente of Louisa, Elizabeth and Kevin Mews of Orange, Roger Gilbert (Christina) of Fluvanna, and Connie Fattachiyar; a sister, Betty Wade; a brother, Joe Cowgill; grandchildren, Ashley and Travis, Mesan and Zach, Renee and Doug, Joey, Jacob, Rachel Oriya, Aelynn, Leyona, Bella, Sebastain,Harrison, Apdi, and Rockshana; and great grandchildren, Trinity, Nicholas, Raelynn, Ryan, Drew, Imarrie, Pharyn, Cartier, Aryiana, and Alara.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Cowgill; and two sisters, Joan Wood and Beverly Saunders.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the U.V.A. Children’s Hospital, 1204 West Main Street,Charlottesville, VA 22903.
