GENOAH R. FOX STAUNTON, VA… Genoah Fay (Ratliff) Fox, 83, widow of Elwood Lewis Fox, of Staunton, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Shenandoah Valley Health and Rehab. She was born October 4, 1934 in Deerfield, VA, the daughter of the late Noah Irvine Ratliff and Mary E. (Price) Ratliff Powell. She graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 1954, Blue Ridge Community College in 1991 and Mary Baldwin College in 1993. Mrs. Fox worked at ASR, GE, Westinghouse, Augusta Correctional Center and was also a paralegal. She also operated Fox Hollow Restaurant and Inn and Ceramic Shop in Craigsville. Family members include a brother and sister-in-law, Richard E. and Brenda Powell of Staunton; a sister and brother-in-law, Judith P. and Mitchell “Mac” Robertson, Jr. of Staunton; nieces, Terri R. Bollinger and Michelle R. Swortzel and husband, Danny; nephew, Greg Armstrong; great niece, Jessi Bollinger; and great nephews, Ryne Bollinger and Andrew Swortzel. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an adopted son, Terry Lee Doyle and her maternal grandparents who raised her, Samuel H. and Lura V. (Eagle) Price. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Deerfield Community Cemetery by Pastor Ethan Allison.
