FINLEY E. CONNER STAUNTON, VA Finley Elwood Conner, 79, of Staunton, died Friday, June 29, 2012 in King's Daughters Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on November 13, 1932 in Augusta County, a son of the late Larnel Conner and Bessie (Doyle) Conner Ramsey. He was previously employed by Crompton, later retiring from E. I. DuPont. He served in the U. S. Army 31st Infantry Division and was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed time as a DJ at Lynn's in Waynesboro. Family members include two sons, Billy Reynolds and John F. Conner; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan M. Conner and Isaac E. Cook; a brother-in-law, Bruce Cash and two nephews, Bobby Cash and Larry Cash and his wife Thelma; three grandchildren Dustin Reynolds, Michael Reynolds and Dennis Reynolds; and a great grandchild, Dalton Reynolds. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Cash. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at Bethany Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Lester LaPrade. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. on Monday, July 2, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to S.P.C.
