Fonda Mae Grant

FONDA P. GRANT RAPHINE, VA Fonda Mae (Painter) Lotts Grant, 53, wife of Michael Lee Grant of Raphine, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born December 27, 1960, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Eleanor (Norcross) Painter. She was employed by White's Truck Stop for sixteen years and DuPont Community Credit Union for six years before becoming disabled due to complications from diabetes. She also sold Avon for thirty-two years. In addition to her husband, family members include a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Dean Falls of Raphine; six nieces, three nephews, and their families; an aunt, Nell Painter Sharpe; many close friends; a special pet, Marley; and a special ex-husband, Harold G. Lotts of Raphine. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Larry Wright. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairfield. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2014 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Augusta Regional SPCA, P.O. Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24402. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of UVA Augusta Dialysis for their loving care during the last six years.
