FRANCES F. DICKINSON STAUNTON, VA Frances Marie (Fox) Dickinson, 86, wife of Forrest L. Dickinson, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Brightview Baldwin Park Assisted Living where she had been a resident for the last 19 months. She was born in Staunton, VA on August 29, 1927 to the late John Morgan and Letitia Myers Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Lee and John William Fox. She is survived by two sisters, Hilda F. and her husband, Edward B. Higgs and Ellen F. and her husband, Robert E. Mullins; and a number of nieces and nephews. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and was employed by C&P Telephone Co., American Telephone & Telegraph Corp. in Staunton, VA before moving to Newport News, VA, where she completed 35 years of service with AT&T before retiring in 1980. She returned to Augusta County in 1991 and resided at: 66 Deer Run Lane, Staunton. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 in Windy Cove Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Millboro Springs, by Chaplain Murphy Terry. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah and Brightview Baldwin Park Assisted Living. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 North Coalter Street, Staunton, VA 24401. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
