FRANCES L. MOOMAU STAUNTON, VA Frances Lee (Lawhorne) Moomau, 83, widow of Wallace B. Moomau of 108 Greenwood Road, Staunton, died Monday, January 21, 2013. She was born March 20, 1929 in Augusta County to the late William S. and Florence (Noel) Lawhorne. Prior to retirement, she owned Frances Lee Jean's and worked in the meat department at Reids Store for 30 plus years. Family members include one daughter, Linda and her husband John Orebaugh of Afton; three grandchildren, Chad A. and his wife Ellaina Antes, Stacey L. Antes Guyah of Arizona, and Drema Antes; four great grandchildren, Caitlin Antes, Elias Johnson, Talya Antes, and Dante Guyah; two special sister-in-laws, Gladys Houser and Betty Moomau; and two dear brother-in-laws, Franklin Moomau and Roger Davis. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Wallace Bell Moomau, Jr; a grandson, Erwin C. Guyah; two brothers; and four sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church. The burial will follow immediately at Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the nephews, L.W. Houser, Donald Houser, Kenny Houser, J.W. Woods, Daniel Houser, Dale Davis, and Dennis Moomau. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Henry Funeral Home and other times at 108 Greenwood Road in Staunton.
