FRANCES G. TEMPLE STAUNTON, VA Frances Lucille (Graham) Temple, 88, widow of John C. Temple, of Staunton, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Envoy of Staunton. She was born November 14, 1925, in Deerfield, a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Armstrong) Graham. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Columbia Gas as an accounting clerk. She was a member of Waynesboro Advent Christian Church. Family members include a son, Richard Bartley of Staunton; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Willy Ferguson of Staunton; a step-son, Charles Temple of Crozet; two grandchildren, Milton and Aaron Bartley; three great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Morgan, and Isaac Bartley; a brother, R. Ray Graham of West Augusta; a sister, Chris Edwards of Waynesboro; a brother-in-law, George Polhill; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, M. Graham Bartley; four brothers, Ernest, Grant, Ed, Jr., and Roy; and two sisters, Violet and Fay. A private burial will be conducted in Deerfield Community Cemetery by the Rev. George Polhill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. David Chernoff and the entire staff at Envoy of Staunton. Their kindness and compassion will always be remembered.
