FRANK F. HELMICK VERONA, VA Frank Finley Helmick, 84, widower of Hilda (Estep) Helmick, of 83 Skyview Circle, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at King's Daughters' Health and Rehab Center. He was born on October 20, 1928, in Blue Grass, to the late William B. and Lena (Vandevander) Helmick. Prior to retirement, he worked for ASR for 31 years. Family members include three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and John Whitmer, Patricia and Bud Sharp, and Gale and Sylvan Howard, all of Verona; three brothers, Wilbur Helmick, Bruce Helmick, and Eugene B. Helmick; two sisters, Lena Wiseman and Mary Waitman; nine grandchildren, Jonathan and Jason Helmick, Trampus Armentrout, Stephanie, Shane, and Shannon Whitmer, Chad Howard, Amber Johnston, and Brittney Baber; and four great grandchildren, Morgan Lockhart, Devin Helmick, Damien Johnston, and Bentley Howard. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Helmick, two brothers, and five sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Staunton Church of Christ by the Ministers Barry Creasy and Rich Anderson. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Matt Johnston, Brad Robertson, Trampus Armentrout, Jonathan Helmick, Jason Helmick, Chad Howard, Devin Helmick, and Richard Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Sensabaugh and Shane Whitmer. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 7 until 8 p.m. in the Henry Funeral Home.
