Frank H. Moffett

Stuarts Draft, VA… Frank Hoge Moffett, 93, widower of Anne Lee (Harman) Moffett, of Mountain Vista Drive, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Stuarts Draft Retirement Community. He was born on June 13, 1923 in Augusta County, a son of the late Robert Strickler and Elizabeth (Hoge) Moffett. Mr. Moffett was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in WWII.  Prior to his retirement he owned and operated a farm.  He was member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church. He is survived by five nieces and three nephews. In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Moffett and a sister, Katherine M. Smith.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Thornrose Cemetery by Rev. Merle Fisher. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of the Shenandoah, c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.
