FRANKLIN O. VECELLIO STAUNTON, VA… Franklin (Frank) Oswald Vecellio, husband of Louise Cason Vecellio of Staunton died peacefully at home on June 28, 2017. Mr. Vecellio had been fighting a courageous battle with Leukemia for about 2 years. Mr. Vecellio was born to Modesto and Lydia Zande Vecellio in Beckley, West Virginia on November 24, 1930. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, West Virginia, Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in business and UVA with a master’s in Education. He served in the US Army for two years, was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years, and the Elks Club for over 69 years. He was a sales manager for over 49 years with AON Corporation. Mr. Vecellio is survived by his wife, Louise Cason Vecellio; two daughters, Rhonda W. Fix (Phil) of Staunton and Paula C. Snyder (John) of Verona; two grandchildren, Amanda C. Fix and Karla S. Colvin (Adam); two great grandchildren, Alaina and Riley Colvin; a sister, Marian V. Calain of Beckley, West Virginia; and cousins, Larry Zande (Patricia) and Patricia Nestor (Sherman) of West Virginia. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017, in Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert Sharp. Burial will be private at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, West Virginia. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
