George Campbell

GEORGE CAMPBELL MIDDLEBROOK, VA George Campbell, 75, widower of Hilda Lee (Austin) Campbell, of 655 Campbell Hollow Road, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at his residence. He was born on June 3, 1937, in Nelson County, to the late, Oscar Warren and Maggie Nora Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a lifelong farmer and logger. He was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. Family members include two sons and a daughter-in-law, David M. and Angie Campbell and Michael W. Campbell, both of Middlebrook; a brother, Bill Campbell of Fairfield; a sister, Elizabeth Campbell of Fishersville; three grandchildren, Mitchie Byers, Amy Ramsey, and Mikey Wines; six great grandchildren; and a special friend, Peggy Spitler. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard T. Campbell and a number of brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Doug Brooks, Mitchie Byers, Mikey Wines, Chris Brooks, Scotty Ramsey, and Gavin Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Henry Funeral Home.
