GEORGE L. SEEKFORD STAUNTON, VA George Lee Seekford, 55, husband of Mary Alice (Knight) Seekford, of 1705 Third Street died Monday, September 17, 2012, at his residence. He was born November 23, 1956, in Luray a son of the late George W., Jr., and Reva (Rhinehart) Seekford. Mr. Seekford was employed by Hershey Tire. In addition to his wife, family members include a son, Erik Williams; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dawn and LeDonte Corbin and Amy Seekford, all of Staunton; foster children, Barbara Roach and Gabriella Rogers; two brothers, Kenneth Seekford of Staunton and Robert Seekford of Stanley; a brother-in-law, Charles Knight; three sisters-in-law, Ann Young of Verona, Kathy Knight of Staunton, and Lisa Stacks of Texas; a grandchild, Donald Lee Nuckoles, III; a special cousin, Debbie Knight; an aunt, Jeanette Painter and her son, Willard, Jr.; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Russell L. Heinrich. Active pallbearers will be LeDonte Corbin, Erik Williams, Robert Seekford, Donald Nuckoles, Jr., Andrew Young, and Author Mayne. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Young, Burke Hershey, and employees of Hershey Tire. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
