GERALD L. MOATS STAUNTON, VA…             Gerald Lee Moats, 70, husband of Justine Carter-Moats, of Staunton died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at his residence.             He was born April 14, 1948, in Moyers, West Virginia, a son of the late Theodore “Trimmer”, Sr., and Virginia Belle (Strother) Moats.             Prior to retirement, Mr. Moats was employed by Nibco.             In addition to his wife, family members include, three daughters, Angela Mae Moats-Tabler, Veronica Lynn Willis, and Derithea Eileen Moats; a step-daughter, Makeba  Carter; a step-son, Robert Edward Carter; a brother-in-law, Charles Carter; a sister-in-law, Gloria Conyers of  New York; 17 grandchildren, Shantee, Whitney, Jonah, Ronin, Titus, Aiden, Andre, Corey, Britnei, Brendan, Tonisha, Christian, Kereil, Robert Jr., Raven, Grant, and Andre; two great grandchildren, Mia Spiller and King Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.             He was preceded in death by a brother, Delmar T. Moats, Sr.; two sisters, Juanita Mae (Moats) Redman and Carnetha S. Redman; two granddaughters, Lea Moats and Jasmyne Hayslett; and a brother-in-law, William P. Redman.             A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Michael Turner.  Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.             Active pallbearers will be Robert Carter, Dale Moats, Thomas Redman, R.J. Carter, Michael Redman, and Jeremy Tabler.             The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home
