STAUNTON, VA Gerould "Jerry" Warren Pangburn, 78, husband of Donna (Garner) Pangburn, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, in the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. He was born July 5, 1936, in Lyons, Kansas, a son of the late Virgil and Vera (Misner) Pangburn. Mr. Pangburn retired as an FBI agent. He was also a representative of the Department of Justice at the National War College and taught at James Madison University and Blue Ridge Community College in the Administration of Justice Department. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and a former member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church. He was an Eagle Scout and served on various community boards. In addition to his wife, family members include a son and daughter-in- law, John and Amy Pangburn of Frederick, Maryland, a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Larry Olson of Fredericksburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Norma Pangburn of Lyons, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Bayer. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, in St. John's United Methodist Church by the Revs. Taylor Mertins and Merle Fisher. Interment will follow in Tinkling Spring Church Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service in Spring Hall at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church.
