Gilmer Ashby Nuckles, Jr.

STAUNTON, VA Gilmer Ashby Nuckles, Jr., 67, of Staunton, died on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab Center. He was born on July 3, 1945 in Staunton, a son of the late Gilmer Ashby and Eva (Cale) Nuckles. Mr. Nuckles was a member of the Staunton Jaycees and the Virginia Jaycees. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Treasurer. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Dunaway Sheets. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March20, 2013 in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor.
