Gladys Christine Crone

STAUNTON, VA… Gladys Christine Crone, 92, of Staunton, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 25, 1923 in Spring Hill, a daughter of the late James William and Lady Anna Bliss (Hahn) Crone. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Guy O. Farley, Sr., as office manager and Oak Hill Nursing Home as an office manager. She was a lifetime member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church and a long time member of Staunton Choral Society. She was the last surviving member of her immediate Crone family and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Bliss Crone Gough, four brothers, and four sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 in Springhill Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. John F. Sloop.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home.
