Gladys Marie Jean Stinespring

GLADYS L. STINESPRING TIMBERVILLE, VA Gladys Marie Jean (Loyd) Stinespring, 70, of 208 Bellevue Street, died Monday, February 13, 2012, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. She was born May 30, 1941, in Hot Springs, a daughter of the late George and Hattie Gladys (Williams) Loyd. Mrs. Stinespring was employed as a private housekeeper. She was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Family members include four daughters, Mary Brisbois, Jacqueline MacGaffick, Virginia Leap, and Margie Burgess Boyers; Julie Bowman; brothers, Calvin John Loyd and William Morgan; a sister, Pauline James; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Hopcroft, Ryan Hopcroft, Christopher Gilliam, Amanda McLamb, Eric MacGaffick, Brad Burgess, Derek Burgess, and Austin Burgess; a great grandchild, Alyssa McLamb; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Claiborne Loyd; three brothers, Hubert Brown, Bill Morgan, and Mack Loyd; and a sister, Bonnie Thacker. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
