Glenna Haseltine Ford

GLENNA D. FORD STAUNTON, VA Glenna Haseltine "Happity" (Dudley) Ford, 87, formerly of Plaza Apts. Drive, widow of Clarence L. Ford, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 in the Shenandoah Hospice House, Fishersville. She was born October 22, 1926, in Bath County, a daughter of the late George and Ada Clara (Small) Dudley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Sue Ford Carter and Sharon Laraine Ford Early. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and David Shifflett of Staunton; eight grandchildren, Stacy McCray and wife, Anita, Terry Bartley and Sheila, Derek Bartley, Teresa Slack and husband, Bobby VanBuren, Gary Hodge and Kevin Hodge, and Megan and Timothy Shifflett, and Crissy; four step-grandchildren, Neetie and husband, Mike Hanger, Mike and wife, Phyllis Shifflett, Brian and wife, Carole Shifflett, and Jason Shifflett; thirteen great grandchildren, and one great, great grandson, Brayden Lam; a sister-in-law, Barbara Floyd; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Ruth Ryder; a special niece, Lisa Gordon; and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of nine children. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Russell Heinrich. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home.
