GOLDIE S. LOCKRIDGE FISHERSVILLE, VA Goldie Lee (Snyder) Lockridge, 82, wife of George William "Billy" Lockridge, of P.O. Box 202, Fishersville died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at her residence. She was born December 26, 1929, in Augusta County a daughter of the late Roscoe and Myrtle (Harlow) Snyder. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Lockridge was employed by R. Frank Rankin, in the Accounting Office with 37 years of service. She was a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and Elder, elected Elder Emeritia, served as receiving treasurer and disbursing treasurer. She was also a member of The Ruth Circle and Fellowship Sunday School Class. In addition to her husband, to whom she married on May 14, 1955, family members include, two brothers and sisters-in-law, David G., Sr., and Dorothy Snyder of Winter Park, FL and Kenneth R., Sr., and Barbara Snyder of Fishersville; nieces and nephews, Julia Ann Sisk and husband, Henry, D. G. Snyder, Jr., and wife, Vickie, Kenneth Snyder, Jr., and wife Rachel, Thomas G. Snyder and wife, Sherry, Gary Snyder and wife, Sheri, Christy Smith and husband, Joe, John Snyder, and Michael Snyder; and uncle; great nieces and nephews; great, great nieces and nephews; and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Nettie Harlow and Rumsey and Minnie Snyder. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Tully Hunter and Rev. Merle Fisher followed by a memorial service to be held at the Church. Active pallbearers will be her nephews, D. G. Snyder, Jr., Kenneth R. Snyder, Jr., Thomas G. Snyder, Gary L. Snyder, John W. Snyder, and Michael D. Snyder.
