GRACE H. MARSHALL STAUNTON, VA… Grace Hulvey Marshall , 89, daughter of John Christian and Janie Fifer Hulvey, and widow of John Eston Marshall, was born December 27, 1927 in Staunton. She passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 30, 2017, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. Grace was a faithful member of Third Presbyterian Church, teacher of the Adult Fellowship Sunday School class, a member of the Congregation and Care and Leadership Committee, and its secretary for many years. She has been serving as a Trustee of the church and was a member of the Afternoon Circle and was its Bible teacher for some years. She was an Ambassador at Baldwin Park. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband on February 23, 1997; her brother, John W. Hulvey; and two sisters, Margaret H. Hamlett and Helen H. Alexander. She is survived by two nieces and a nephew, a special niece-in-law, Judy Hulvey, and a special niece, Joyce Marshall. Also several great nephews and great, great nieces and nephews survive. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Third Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jacob Singleton. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be her great nephews, Greg, Gary, and Kevin Marshall, Justin Godbey, Jonathan Hulvey, and Stephen Marshall. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and women of Third Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, in the Henry Funeral Home.
