Gregory Scott Jordan

GREGORY S. JORDAN STAUNTON, VA… Gregory Scott Jordan, 57, husband of Kristin (Anderson) Jordan, of 641 Gypsy Ave., died Friday, December 22, 2017, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born February 23, 1960, in Staunton, a son of the late William Edward and Betty Anne (Hiner) Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the Department of Corrections and McKee Foods. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Staunton Masonic Lodge 13. In addition to his wife family members include three daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie Ann Jordan of Colorado, Margaret Elizabeth and Peter James Echols of Staunton, and Shannon Emily Jordan of Staunton; a sister, Holly Susann Jordan of Midlothian; and two nephews, Ian Jordan Helm and Collin Michael Helm, both of Midlothian. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Marie Jordan. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Trinity Episcopal Church by the Rev. Dr. Paul Nancarrow. Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be K. Scott Downs, Stephen Hiner, Martin Hiner, Aaron D. Anderson, Roderick Burke, and Scott L. Fielding. The family will receive friends following the service in the church social hall.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
