Guy Douglas Spitzer

GUY D. SPITZER STAUNTON, VA Guy Douglas Spitzer, 60, 512 Houston Street, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Envoy of Staunton. He was born March 19, 1953, in Newport News, a son of the late Robert Lee, Sr., and Ruby (Puffenbarger) Spitzer. He was a member of Zetta Presbyterian Church. He loved Kiwanis baseball and the Staunton Braves. Family members include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Lee, Jr., and Mary Ann Spitzer of Staunton and Donald Ray Spitzer of Lynchburg; and a special friend, Glenna Puffenbarger. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9,2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stanley Farthing. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Homer Eutsler, Charles Puffenbarger, Kevin Eutsler, Jeffrey May, Earl Lee Puffenbarger, and Larry Lawhorn. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, in the funeral home.
