Glynda Kyle (Poole) Barker, 76, widow of Bobby Lee Barker, of Staunton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born February 12, 1943 in Newport News, a daughter of the late James Elbanks and Elenore Grace (Barnett) Poole. She loved profoundly, mostly her family. She loved as she served with the Salvation Army. She loved as she donated to the Wounded Warriers Project every month. She loved as she served as an usher at First Presbyterian Church. She loved as she made multitudes feel beautiful as she served as a make-up artist at Belk. Family members includes her beloved and only daughter, Elenore Eames Boxley; a step-son, David Aaron Barker; a sister, Nancy P. VanCleve; five grandchildren, David Alan Barker, Hannah Marie Brodie, Deja Lakyle Davenport, Tyquan Shakur Smith, and Daviano Atkins; three great grandchildren, Domiana Kylee Davenport, D’Kylah Myell Davenport, and Malanie Eileen Smith; and a niece, Melissa Gema.               . In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a niece, Beverley Ackerman Taylor. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on March 23, 2019 in First Presbyterian Church by the Rev.
