George E. Haliburton

STAUNTON – George Edward Haliburton, 71, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Haliburton was born on February 19, 1951 in Staunton to the late William Franklin, Jr. and Ollie Marie (Taylor) Haliburton.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Allen Chapel.

Mr. Haliburton is survived by his fiancé, Jackie Jones; two sons, George Haliburton, Jr. and Tabascco Haliburton; a daughter, Tonya Haliburton Howard (Eddie); twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Wendell Haliburton; three brothers, Charles Haliburton, James Taylor, and William Haliburton III; two sisters; Rosie Lucy Haliburton and Diane Fairfax.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2022 at Henry Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dr. Edward A. Scott of Allen Chapel AME Church. Burial with military rites will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Cami Murphy, George Haliburton, Jr., JR Haliburton, Keenan Jordan, and Omar Benson.
