Pastor Harold French Fuller, Jr.

PASTOR HAROLD F. FULLER, JR. STAUNTON - Pastor Harold French Fuller, Jr., 81, husband of Mary (Hankla) Fuller of 1106 Stocker Street, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born August 28, 1932 in Rural Retreat, son of the late Harold F. and Lula Grace (Musser) Fuller. He was a graduate of Rural Retreat High School, Lenoir-Rhyne College, and Lutheran Southern Seminary. Pastor Fuller was an ordained Lutheran minister for 46½ years having served Gravel Springs Lutheran Parish, Shenandoah Lutheran Parish, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pomeria, South Carolina, Faith Lutheran Church in Deland, Florida, Quicksburg Lutheran Parish in Shenandoah County, Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church (20 years), and Faith Lutheran Church in Staunton. Family, in addition to his wife, includes his three daughters, Sharon Fuller of Staunton, Rebecca McLenigan of Clifton, and Sonya Byerly of Staunton; five grandchildren, Brian, Emily, and Andrew McLenigan, Dalton and Trinity Byerly; and brother, Douglas Fuller of Louisa County. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Holland. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (June 27, 2014) in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. JoAnn Bunn. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Donnie Clark, Joe Clark, Donald Hanger, Tommy Hanger, Jeff Shuey, Keith Swink, Ronald Welcher, and Joe Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers will be Connard Howdyshell, Sam Heizer, Curtis Cupp, Rev. Arthur Henne, Dr. J. O. "Rob" Marsh, Dr. Sam Rowe, Bill Rowe, Wayne Spaid, and James Whitlock. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Mt. Tabor immediately following the interment service. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 334 Mt.
