HELEN L. BERRY STAUNTON, VA Helen May (Ludwig) Berry, 93, widow of Edgar Russell Berry of 415 Carter Street Staunton, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 in King's Daughter's Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born November 7, 1919 in Augusta County, to the late Harry G. and Ethel (Hite) Ludwig. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school class for 34 years. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Ludwig and Graham Ludwig; and a sister, Ruth Lawrence. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Donald Wilson and Yvonne (Walters) Berry of Staunton. She is the last surviving member of her family. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor. Burial will follow at Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Danny Pritchett, Max Lockridge, David Ludwig, and Victor Ludwig. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the Church. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
