Helen Spaulding Hodges

HELEN S. HODGES STAUNTON, VA Helen S. Hodges, 92, of 1900 Hillsmere Lane, formerly of Charleston, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Ira and Minnie (Payne) Spaulding. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She was employed for 30 years as an accountant for Patterson, Belle, and Crane of Charleston, WV. She is survived by daughters, Sherry and husband, J.B. Ferguson of Staunton, Marilyn and husband, Theodore Kirchner of Bolton, MA; three grandchildren, Jeffrey and wife, Martha Ferguson of Staunton, Steven and wife, Amanda Kirchner of Wocester, MA, and Ann Kirchner of Watertown, MA; and three great grandchildren, Paige and Matthew Ferguson of Staunton, and Abygail Kirchner of Worcester, MA. Memorials can be made to St. Paul's Building Fund, 2000 Shutterlee Mill Road, Staunton, VA 24401 or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22911. Services will be held in Charleston, per Helen's request. Henry Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
