Helen Virginia (Sensabaugh) Knott, 79, widow of Robert Franklin Knott, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at Oak Grove Assisted Living in Waynesboro. She was born on September 2, 1939 in Rockbridge County to the late John Luther and Myrtle Elizabeth (Stoner) Sensabaugh.  She was a graduate of Middle River High School.  She was a breast cancer survivor.  She had an avid love for children and ran a learning daycare center for many years.  She served on the Board of the Stuarts Draft H.S. Sportsman’s Club, taught Sunday School and was a substitute teacher at Stuarts Draft Elementary.  Helen loved children, her family, music and dancing. Surviving family members include two sons, Kirk B. Knott of Waynesboro and Dale B. and wife, Janice Knott of Grottoes; a brother, John W. Sensabaugh of Mt. Sidney; a brother-in-law, Elwood Hays, Sr. of Staunton; four grandchildren, Quinton and wife Ashley, Anna, Zach, and Sammy Knott; one great-grandchild, Carter Knott; a niece, Carol and husband, Shan Mitchell; a nephew Woody and wife, Penny Hays, Jr.; and a special family friend, Marie Allen of Fishersville. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Hays. Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm., Thursday, November 15, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at 1 pm. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Mt. Sidney United Methodist Church conducted by Pastor Russell Heinrick. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to either Susan G.
