Hilda Marie Helmick

HILDA E. HELMICK VERONA, VA Hilda Marie (Estep) Helmick, 83, wife of Frank Finley Helmick, of 83 Skyview Circle, died Monday, September 17, 2012, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born March 24, 1929, in Mt. Jackson, a daughter of the late William and Dora (Lindamood) Estep. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Helmick was employed by AMP. She was a member of Staunton Church of Christ. In addition to her husband of 64 years, family members include three daughters, Betty Whitmer, Patricia Sharp, and Gail Howard; two brothers, William Estep, Jr. and Austin Estep; four sisters, Martha Coppenhaven, Irene Covert, Helen Mitchell, and Francis Miller; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Helmick, Stephanie Whitmer, Jason Helmick, Trampus Armentrout, Shane Whitmer, Shannon Whitmer, Amber Johnston, Chad Howard, and Brittany Baber; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Helmick. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the Staunton Church of Christ by Ministers Barry Creasy and Rich Anderson. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Helmick, Jason Helmick, Devin Helmick, Chad Howard, Brad Robertson, and Men of the Church. The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Staunton Church of Christ, 333 Churchville Ave., Staunton, VA 24401.
